ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION
We started in 2002 as Western Design Studio, and now we Build!
2004: Obtained Architectural Registration.
2010: Simplified name with acronym WDS.
2015: Began our niche of helping Business Owners to open their locations.
2020: Pursued General Contractor's License,
2022: Shifted our focus to a Design-Build service model.

Our Entrepreneurial mindset is evident in our uncompromising focus on the customer experience. Our team is diligent and peristent in its pursuit of opening physical locations for Commercial Businesses!
Their doors must be open as quickly as possible, meaning any way to work outside of the box must be recognized, pursued and attained. This sense of urgency must be shared and emphasized with our extended team by our in-house personnel.

Definition: Requiring fast or swift action.
At WDS: In every action we take, our Team must act with URGENCY.
Examples: Responding to Clients promptly. Getting Approvals and Permits expeditiously.

Definition: Moving quickly and easily.
At WDS: To have AGILITY, we must perform quicker than status quo, which means thinking and acting outside of the box.
Examples: Breaking down the drawing process into smaller tasks. Breaking down the Construction and their related permits, into smaller scopes.

Definition: Exchanging messages through appropriate media.
At WDS: Communication, communication, communication! We must beat our Clients to their question, by proving the answer... before they have the chance to ask it!
Examples: Conducting weekly project update meetings. Providing an update on permit status twice a week. Sending personal audio or video text messages sprinkled in between emails. Following-up phone calls and physical meetings with an email or written record to all parties. If the Client is an email person, favor emailing. If they like texting, push the text messages. If phone calls are their thing, make it a point to pickup the phone.
Cus-tom-er Ex-pe-ri-ence
Definition: (Observation or feeling of) One who deals with or purchases goods or service.
At WDS: The trophy at the end of our performance is the Client Testimonial. Are our Clients so excited about the experience they have had with us, that they want to tell everyone about it? Are we providing a service that will stand out from competitors and exceeds all Client expectations?
Examples: Allow the Client to participate in the process, rather than doing things without them. When you must deliver a problem, always bring along two or three solutions. When challenges occur or decisions need to be made, present "options" to the Client. Walk them through it and allow them to make the final decision. Walk with them. Help them. Guide them. Represent their best interests and watchout for their pocketbook.
